Sophia F. Karas' Obituary
Sophia F. Karas, 90 of Palm Harbor, passed away on February 25, 2016. She leaves two daughters, Irene and Christine, who will miss her dearly, a brother, Orestes Frangoulis of Fort Myers, a nephew James (Debbie) Patruno, of Framingham, Ma. Sophia was born in Natick, Mass. Sophia enjoyed volunteering at Mease Countryside Hospital and Winter Park Hospital in Winter Park, Fl. She moved to the Palm Harbor area in 1988 with her husband Christopher, who passed away in 2008. Sophia was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and Philoptochos. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday March 4, 2016 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, in Clearwater at 11:00 am, with Entombment at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sophia’s name to the Holy Trinity Capital Campaign, www.htcapitalcampaign.com .
