A true friend tp the end!! Always with a smile and a little happy joke to cheer you up. Camping trips together/ Cook outs. Sunday visits and a trip together to the local restaurant to feast on goodies and always laughs and just plain fun together. He will be missed. One of our best friends. God bless. Don and Betty Voss
This year marks just slightly over 50 years that Stanley and Colleen have been treasured neighbors or close to the heart friends. There are so many memories, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Forty eight years ago, I realized how much I loved and trusted them when I asked them - and they agreed - to care for my 2 young children (5 & 6 yrs old) for three weeks while we were out of country. There was never any doubt that my children would be safe, and importantly, also loved. Stanley will be remembered as a gentle, loving, caring man. He will never be forgotten. We have all been so lucky to have had him in our lives. Rest in peace, Stanley. Thank you for every kindness you gave.
Rest in peace Stanley.
A great man
I have many nice memories of my Uncle Stanley: pianist, gourmet cook, gardener, sports fan, leader, and Spirit-filled Christian just to name a few. As a child I looked forward to my weekly visits at his house, and also his A&P grocery store. He always made me feel special and important to him whenever we were together. I'll miss him deeply, but I know that he's no longer 'Leaning on the Everlasting Arms' (family story) because he's casting crowns and receiving his reward for a lifetime spent honoring God. I cried and cried the day he left, but I found two pennies on the ground the same day, and I knew in my heart it was well with his soul.
