Stephen Thomas Rausch's Obituary
Stephen Thomas Rausch, born to Otto and Eleanor Rausch, Steve was born in Syracuse where he lived his entire life before retiring to Tarpon Springs, Florida. Married to Donna (Benchley) Rausch for 57 years, family was of utmost importance to him. Everyone who knew Steve, understood the value he placed and the love he shared with his two children, four grandchildren and extended family
Steve graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School and joined the family owned business, Mutual Library Bindery, Inc. which was founded by his grandfather in 1918. Aside from 2 years serving with the Military Police in the US Army, Steve and his brother Robert, shared ownership duties until closing the business after its 100 year anniversary.
Donna and Steve have traveled to almost every one of the 50 states and nearly every country worldwide. Nothing pleased Steve more than family, traveling and fishing (in that order).
Steve is survived by his wife Donna, his daughter Karyn Rausch of Fayetteville, NY, his son and daughter in law Jonathan (Shannan) Rausch of Charlotte NC, and grandchildren Logan McGinn, Haydan McGinn, Nolan McGinn, and James Rausch, his sister-in-law Susan Gallagher Rausch of Clearwater, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Steve is predeceased by his parents, brothers Robert and Ronald and sister Suzi Rausch Gurney.
At Steves request, there will be no calling hours or services. He wishes to be remembered as a generous and caring husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
