Stephen Ray Smith's Obituary
Stephen Ray Smith, 67, of Dunedin Florida, passed away December 30, 2024 at Mease Countryside Hospital. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Florida in 2020 after his retirement from the remodeling business. He was Presbyterian in faith, loved country music and rock and roll, and enjoyed visiting the beach, especially at his favorite spot, the Dunedin Causeway. Steve was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and celebrated over 35 years of sobriety. He made several long-lasting friendships and touched many lives during his time in recovery and afterwards, as he continued to set a shining example of what second chances can look like with hard work, dedication, and sheer willpower. Steve is pre-deceased by his parents, Martha and DL Smith; and his brother, Ronald Smith. He is survived by his sister, Donna Cowart (Dale); his sister-in-law, Debbie Smith; many nieces and nephews; and several other family members and friends.
