Steven Eric Kirchner's Obituary
Steven Kirchner, 64, passed away alongside his beloved wife Libby Kirchner, 53, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. He is reunited in rest with Libby.
He is survived by his daughter Danielle, her four sons: Elias, Romeo, Sirius, and baby Sonder, expected this July, and two additional grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Katreeb and her husband Michael Katreeb, along with their three sons: Jared, Michael, and Ryan, their wives, and children. His extended family includes former spouse Susi Prola and her husband Gary Prola, and all those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Katie Kirchner, his father Henry “Hank” Kirchner, and his sister Brenda Kirchner.
Steven proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he held the position of Executive Officer and carried with him a deep sense of duty and strength. He wrestled for Chico State University where his strength, discipline & quiet determination made a lasting impression. He also passed down his love of guitars to his grandson Sirius, who now carries that musical legacy forward.
Steven will be remembered for his love of jiu-jitsu, traveling, dogs, good food, spontaneous adventures, and for sharing his unique laugh, a sound that will echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He especially loved catching shows in Las Vegas and spending time in the water.
Above all, Steven was a devoted follower of Christ. He accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Savior, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace in eternal rest.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
