Susie and I were friends across the pond. Although we didn't stay in contact as we both may have wished to, here warmth and kind heart could be felt a million miles away.
Her brightening smile and gentle eyes were enough to give me comfort whenever I seen her. Whether it be through her work or her words, she constantly gave the people around her happiness.
She is a true inspiration for those who just want to get in touch with the little things in life that really count.
She has still touched me in her absence and this has made me realise how important it is to treasure those close to you.
