Suzanne Dellis' Obituary
Suzanne (Suzy) Klaus Dellis, a daughter of Allen (Snuffy) and Lucy (Fritz) Klaus, was born April 11, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas. Suzy was a 1962 graduate of Lawrence D. Bell High School in Hurst, Texas. She married James Russell Dellis on September 1, 1978, where they lived in Bedford, Texas until her retirement from American Airlines. They then bought land and moved to Grapeland, Texas, where Suzy enjoyed riding horses and spending time with her donkeys and many dogs!
In 2021, Suzy decided to exchange country living for the year-round warm weather of Largo, Florida. There she joined several fellow American Airlines retirees who enjoy the moderate climate, beautiful gulf waters and great companionship and support.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kelly Banta (Gilbert) Rendon of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Michael Guy (Abigail) Hargett, of Lake Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Easley of Buffalo, NY, Elaina (Mikey) Spears of Ludowici, GA, Riley Hargett, Nathanial Hargett, Lilly Hargett of Lake Worth, Texas and Gabriel Rendon of Waxahachie, Texas; brother-in-law, Dennis Ray (Shari) Dellis; nieces, Lisa Stewart (Billy) Stephens, Michelle Dellis, Jessica Klaus (David) Wilson; nephews, Michael (Robin) Dellis, Nick (Sarah) Klaus; other cousins, great nieces and nephews, and her cherished Shady.
In addition to her parents, Suzy was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Stewart Daniels, brother, Joseph Kurt Klaus, and nephew, William Gregg Stewart.
Suzy was known by many as a “sweet soul,” but she also had a friendly, fun-loving, game-for-anything nature. She loved spending time with her family and life-long friends, travelling, riding horses and drinking chardonnay! Suzy passed away following surgical complications on June 15, 2026, in Dunedin, Florida.
