Sylvia A. Hendrix's Obituary
Sylvia A. Hendrix, 82, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana passed away Monday, June 1st 2020. She was born January 29th 1938 in Frankfort, Indiana to Francis and Juanita (Tuttle) Meeks who have predeceased her. She was strong in her faith in the Pentecostal Church, and she enjoyed tea parties, going out to eat, shopping, and most of all spending time with her many grandchildren. Besides her parents, Sylvia is predeceased by her first husband, Loren Eugene Miller, brothers Melvin "Bud" Meeks, Francis O. Meeks Jr., sisters C. Joan Thompson, and Nora J. Wesley as well as niece Roberta Jo Wesley, and nephews John and Daniel Wesley. Sylvia is survived by her husband William A. Hendrix, brother Steve Meeks, sons Anthony Wayne Miller (Kathy) of Martinsville, IN, Joseph Lee Miller (Anna) of Green Castle, IN, Terry Allen Miller (Connie) of Morgantown, IN, daughters Angela "Sissy" F. Spevak (Gerard) of Clearwater, FL, Janet Kay James (Joseph) of Bloomington, IN, Aunt Idelpha (Tuttle) Higginbotham as well as nephew Mico Klokoc and niece Tammy Tankersly. Sylvia is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, and many more beloved family including her family and friends in Batesville, Arkansas where she resided for over 8 years with her husband Bill. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 28th 2020 at 1:00 PM at The Art Sanctuary, 190 N. Sycamore St. Martinsville, IN 46151. All family and friends are welcome.
