Tammy T. Sawyer's Obituary
Tammy T. Sawyer, 86, passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on June 30, 2023 in Dunedin, Florida.
Tammy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Tammy was born in Bêm Tre, Vietnam on September 21, 1936. She was one of nine children. She met Eric L. Sawyer in Vietnam and they were married in 1972. Tammy and Eric moved to Magnolia, NJ in 1973. The family moved to Clearwater in 1975.
Tammy was a skilled seamstress. She worked making children’s clothing for Pixie Playmates for 25 years. She sewed specialized medical burn garments for Smith and Nephew for 5 years. After her retirement, she was devoted to her husband and her family. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends on the porch of their home in Clearwater. Tammy brought her delicious handmade Vietnamese egg rolls to many family occasions. She traveled to Vietnam numerous times to visit with family and friends there.
Tammy was predeceased by her beloved husband Eric, and her parents and siblings in Vietnam. She is survived by her sons Phillip T.E Sawyer and his wife Hoa of Clearwater, Steve T.E. Sawyer and his wife Brenda of Shalimar, and Tom T.E. Sawyer and his wife Linda of San Jose, CA; grandsons Justin and his wife Sita, Brandon and his wife Jessica, Tyler, Tony and Steven; great-grandchildren Reid, Freya, Maverick, Jalen and Wesley; sister-in-law Shirley S. Edwards of Clearwater; nieces Leslie D. Edwards, Stacy L. Edwards and Joann Dresch; and many other family members and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Accent Inpatient Hospice Center at Mease-Manor Dunedin for their loving care during Tammy’s final days.
