Teresa Beth Miller's Obituary
Teresa Beth Miller transitioned to her eternal expression on May 24, 2025. She died peacefully at home under the care of Hospice and the adoring eye of her beloved partner, Douglas Bonar. Her Earthly presence will be (and already is) greatly missed.
Teresa was born in the small town of Baltimore, Ohio. She moved with her family to Grand Rapids, Michigan as a child. She had many friends locally (Pinellas County) and in Grand Rapids where she raised her family.
Teresa loved living to its fullest. She enjoyed the arts, nature, humor, and quiet times reading at home. She was particularly devoted to the plight of the homeless and volunteered time and energy for their aid. She was a member of the First Unity Spiritual Campus where she met Douglas fourteen years ago. They shared many happy years exploring the joys of living as well as feeling the suffering of the many. They shared a passion for the needs of the less fortunate and less advantaged in our community and the world.
Teresa is survived by her “favorite” (only) brother and his wife, Phil Miller and Suzy Richardson; her precious uncle and aunt, John and Mary Rodgers; her loving son, Francisco Wals; her compassionate daughter, Aja Wals and her partner Rodney Parks; her somewhere-out-there son Rafael Wals; and her six grandchildren, Deion Parks, Diamonte Parks, DeMarion Parks, Sadie Parks, Valentino Wals and Roman Wals.
Teresa, in her eternal expression, wants everybody to be actively compassionate not just toward their family, friends and tribe, but to all beings in the world, and indeed to the living Earth and her inhabitants. She continues to radiate this message – we are one and connected. Though her physical presence will be greatly missed, her soul-presence remains with us.
