Terrance J. Sowada's Obituary
Terrance John Sowada, beloved husband, grandfather, son and brother. He passed away unexpectedly from this life on September 20th 2024. Terry was born January 16th 1964 in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from Seminole high school, Terry received his Master of Divinity/Ministry, and Master of Arts in Theology/Theological Studies at St. Vincent DePaul Seminary, and served as Parochial Vicar for the Diocese of St. Petersburg from 1992 to 2003. After retiring from the priesthood, Terry worked in several project and process management jobs. On 12/13/2014, he married the love of his life Cindy, and they have lived and loved each other in a small quiet town in Clearwater, Florida with their many animals.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Delroy J. Sowada, and his brother, Gregory J. Sowada. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sowada, his step-children Ian (Adline) Ham and Jessica Ham and was known and loved as Granpa Terry to his grandchildren Eliza, Ezra, and Emery Ham. Also he is survived by his mother, Lillian D. Sowada, siblings Lynn (Henry) Juarez, Sandra (Stan) Rives, Roger (Suzanne) Sowada, Alan (Lori) Sowada, Karen Sowada, Patricia (Bill) Gardner, sister-in-law Laurie Sowada; and His brothers and sisters-in-law: Barbara (Jim) Thieman, Ed (Maureen) Brandes, Christine (Tom) Leacock, Michael (Vivi) Brandes, Judy (Chuck) Mills, Cecilia (Michael) Hart, David (Kathy) Brandes; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
