Thomas J Holup's Obituary
Thomas J. Holup
September 9, 1948 – October 3, 2023 when Tom went to God after his 26 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Tom was born near Pittsburgh, PA and attended St. Mary’s (Polish) School, with his eventual wife Mary Ann. After 8th grade, his family moved to Linden, NJ where Tom graduated from high school and then to Rutgers. He worked for ABC (National) Television in New York City for 34 years during which time he earned his MBA from Fordham and went on to become Assistant Director of Accounts Payable. After staying in touch all those years, in 1999, Tom finally proposed to Mary Ann. On Valentine’s Day 2000, they were married in Rutgers’ Chapel and for 4 years lived in North Brunswick, NJ. Upon his retirement, Tom, Mary Ann, and Mary Ann’s brother, Joe Synkowski, moved to Clearwater, FL in 2004. Tom really enjoyed a good chess game and even played a master when he was younger. Tom is survived by his wife Mary Ann (nee Synkowski); 3 sisters, Kathleen Holup Sleezer, Jennifer Holup (Andy Lear), Elaine Holup Jaeschke and nephew, Joseph Jaeschke. Donations in Tom’s memory would be appreciated by Suncoast Hospice and/or American Parkinson’s Disease Association, Parkinson Research Foundation.
