Thomas Nelson Lambert's Obituary
Thomas Nelson Lambert 85
Thomas (Tommy) Nelson Lambert passed away on January 2, 2023, in Palm Harbor, Florida, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Adelard Jean and Marion Lambert (nee Houghton). Originally from Dunellen, NJ, Tommy grew up with his brother Jean Lambert, Middletown, NJ and Marion De Mato, New Bern, NC. Here he learned his love for sports, including playing basketball, which he played in US Army in Germany. Tommy met Joanne Majerski, the love of his life in 1961 and continued to share 61 remarkable years of marriage.
Thomas' main goal in life was to live a happy life and see his children grow up on the Jersey Shore and become loving and successful human beings. He succeeded. He and Joanne shared five wonderful children: Danielle Lambert-Ching, Melbourne, AU (Stephen), Allison Lambert-Uhrin, Old Forge, PA (Mark), Michael Lambert, Iselin, NJ, (Jenny), Marissa Corney, Long Boat Key, FL (Tom), Jennifer Lambert - Bordo, Como, Italy (Roberto). Who blessed him with 9 grandchildren, Klaus, Zach, Max, Jared, Jackson, Thomas, Pranali, Antra, and Raffaele. As well as a newly blessed welcomed addition, great grand daughter Remi.
Through the years Tommy enjoyed quality time with his family including crabbing, fishing on the Jersey shore, golfing, church going on Sundays, relaxing by the poolside, watching his children play sports at the local high schools and launching them into their education and eventual careers. He was so very proud of the successes his children and grandchildren shared with him and Joanne.
He worked for 30, plus years in the automobile industry: sales, management and F&l. Upon retiring in 1999, Tommy travelled and visited multiple countries and continents. He could enjoy himself and find peace of mind anywhere in the world as long as he with his love, Joanne and alongside his family to whom he was dedicated. Whether it was a conch fritter in Key West, FL or eggplant parmigiana in Italy, Tommy loved to live his life to the fullest.
His family will be celebrating his life alongside extended family and friends at an event on his birthday, July 16, 2023, to inter his ashes at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ. More details will be released prior to the event. May God bless Tommy.
