I was a flight instructor at Craig AFB when my wife Joan and I first met Tom and Leeanne. Tom and his family were so wonderful to know. Because of the Air Force, we lost track of each other. I saw him once after he became a judge. I have always admired Tom and the dedication he had to his country, his community, and his family. I know he will be missed, but there will always be fond memories of this dedicated and kind man.
I am sorry that I will be out of the state at the time of the memorial service. Judge Penick was both a fine human being and an excellent jurist. Hs memory will be a lasting one.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I had the honor and privilege of appearing before Judge Penick on many occasions and he always commanded the respect to which he was richly entitled. Personally, I was fortunate to have Judge Penick agree to perform a marriage ceremony on Indian Shores beach many years ago. God Bless.
He was and is a legend. I was blessed to be able to call him my friend. He did so many amazing wonderful things in and out of the courtroom. I could go on and talk about him all day long and his escapades, as I'm sure that many can. He will be greatly missed and the world has lost a champion for right and wrong.
