Thomas Anthony Valenti's Obituary
Thomas Anthony Valenti, 64, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Born in Albany, NY on June 29, 1958, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Rao) Valenti, and Aurelia (Veno) Valenti.
Upon completing high school, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, always having a love for planes. He then went on to make a career working with computers and offering customer support as a director within his company. Later in life, Tom’s work brought him to Florida where he loved that he “never had to shovel the heat.” He was a man of simple pleasures- he enjoyed all cars, his Harley, NASCAR races, a good bourbon, his favorite music, and his grandpups. However, his greatest love of all was his family.
Tom is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years, Dawn (Fretto) Valenti, and their three beloved daughters Heather (Matt) Cipperly of Troy, NY, Kimberly (Greg Bray) Valenti of Seminole, FL, and Victoria (Coy Barton) Valenti of Tampa, FL, and their two grandchildren, Sienna and Nolan Cipperly. He is also survived by his daughters, Danielle and Samantha Valenti, his brother Bryan (Angie) Valenti, mother-in-law Audrey (late John) Fretto, brothers-in-law Patrick (Paula) Fretto, Frank (Rebecca) Fretto, and John (Miki) Fretto, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Laura (Joe) Barton.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization that was close to his heart.
