Ulla Schoening's Obituary
Ulla Schoening, 80, of Largo, passed away on March 2nd after a short illness. Ulla was born on March 12, 1942 to Hans and Helene Nuppenau in Bremen, Germany. She grew up in Bargteheide and Hamburg with her brothers Peter and Rolf. She Married Klaus-Peter Schoening in 1964 and emigrated to Chicago in 1966.
After moving to Pinellas County in 1973 Ulla spent many years working for GTE before starting a career in real estate. Ulla and Klaus participated in the American dream by starting and running Klaus' Body Shop for 30 years.
She will be remembered by her many friends. Always with over 100 phone calls on her birthday, usually starting at midnight, Ulla could make a friend of anyone, anywhere she went. Ulla was also a treasurer of the Seminole Warhawks Soccer Association and had a standing Saturday night reservation at the Wine Cellar Restaurant for decades.
Life was a party for her but above all she loved her family, her two sons Karsten and Michael, and her Grandchildren Ian and Helen.
