Uwe Molesch's Obituary
Uwe Molesch, aged 73, a long time Tampa Bay Area resident and life-long member of the Clearwater Seventh Day Adventist church, passed away in Tampa on January 18 after a long illness.
Born on March 5, 1947 in Cottbus, in Communist East Germany, Uwe’s family pulled off a daring escape to West Germany in 1958 and was subsequently sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cleveland, Ohio to immigrate to the United States.
After arriving in the United States, Uwe quickly learned the English language, graduated from high school, and university, obtaining his master’s degree in Nuclear Chemistry from Cleveland State University.
Uwe was a brilliant man and a devout Christian. He was a gift to his family and community with his endless compassion and hospitality. Through his strength, wit, and humor, he is lovingly remembered with warmth by his friends and family.
He is survived by his brothers Volker and Eberhard, and sisters Andrea Mawby and Christina Hartman.
