Veronica P. Sicilian's Obituary
Veronica P. Sicilian (nee Reinwald) age 90 of Largo, Florida, passed peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2011 at her residence. Her life will be celebrated at 3:30 in the afternoon on September 23 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, Florida. Veronica was born in the Bronx, New York on June 2, 1921. She married Leonard James Sicilian (d.) on September 30, 1945. Veronica had such lovely fingers that she worked for a time in New York City as a hand model. Later she worked as a bookkeeper (also in New York City) from which she retired when her eldest son Jim was born in 1947. When her son Stephen was born in 1950 the family moved to Fairlawn, New Jersey where her daughter Donna Maria was born in 1960. After living for seven years in North Babylon, Long Island, the family moved to Largo, Florida in 1970 and later to Misty Springs Condominiums in Clearwater.Veronica was an avid card player, particularly loving Canasta and Bridge. She rejoiced in her family and church community. She enjoyed gardening during her years in New York and New Jersey; and walking and bowling with family members. After moving to Florida she developed an interest in traveling, particularly to Hawaii and the western United States. Butterflies intrigued her, and she loved to decorate her home with images of them.Veronica was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Largo. She is survived by her sons: Jim and his wife Gracie Cainelli of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Stephen and his wife Emily Corwith of East Hampton, Long Island; by daughter Donna of Largo, Florida; and by her nieces and nephews: Peggy Maragiolio, Charles Reinwald, Carol Reinwald, Paul Reinwald and Mark Reinwald. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leonard, her brothers Charles and Harold Reinwald, and her sister Helen Hough.
