Virginia Barrett Fraser's Obituary
Virginia Barrett Fraser, 90, of Palm Harbor, FL passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021. She was born July 3, 1930 in Bradenton, Florida to William Wilson and Del Gratia (Miller) Barrett, who have predeceased her along with a sister, Joan Barrett Henderson and a daughter, Barbara Joan Fraser Bremus. In the early 1950’s, she moved from Florida to Arlington, VA with her then husband George Fraser who went to work for the Federal Government. She stayed home with their girls while George traveled around the globe on covert missions. They divorced in the 1970’s and she remained in Great Falls and then Herndon, Virginia with the children. She attended Forestville United Methodist Church, Great Falls, VA and frequently visited McLean Baptist Church, McLean, VA. She had a career working for the Fairfax County Government, lastly in the Department of Housing. She moved back to Florida in 2013 living near daughter Christine. Her final years were spent battling dementia but she remained loving and concerned about her family through her final days. Virginia loved being with and taking care of her family, playing games and working on any type of a puzzle. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Sara Fraser Erickson (Danny), Elizabeth Ann Fraser Baughan (Kevin), Christine Carol Fraser Huston (Jeff); Grandchildren: David and Laura Baughan, Fraser and Preston Bremus; nephews: Barry and David Henderson; niece: Martha Henderson.
