How rare and precious my 20 years of friendship with Vi. At work she encouraged and mentored me to keep up with technology - she never gave up being "techie" even when she took up sewing with her computerized sewing machine! During lunches over the years, Vi always mentioned how proud she was of her family; she and Jim certainly put in the miles on their rental cars in order to stay close to family even when they lived on opposite sides of the state. Vi was an amazing person with strong opinions and a strong faith. I truly treasure having known her.

Dear Jim, Carrie, Tim and Family - I am saddened to hear of Vi's passing. She not only welcomed me into her home but welcomed me into the family where I learned so much and made so many great memories. As a teenager, I remember lots of traveling and allot of lessons learned from Vi as she always had an answer for everything. She was an amazing woman and her passing is a true loss to all who were lucky enough to cross paths with her. RIP mama Vi ❤️
