Wayne Edward Stepina's Obituary
Wayne Edward Stepina passed away on June 2, 2026, in Clearwater, Florida, at the age of 72.
Born on June 12, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, Wayne was the third and youngest child of Frances and Edward Stepina. He attended Dundee Community High School in Dundee, Illinois, and later studied at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. Wayne met the love of his life, Julie Ann Stepina, on a blind date in his hometown. Together, they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; his children, Christopher (Sarah), Amy (Deep), and Nicholas (Julia); and his cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Sydney, Max, Leah, and Enzo. Nothing brought Wayne greater joy than spending time with his family.
Throughout his life, Wayne was an integral part of his family's businesses, Stepina Motor Service in his early years, then Stepina Express Cartage, Stepina Enterprises, as a Burger King Franchisee, and Stepina Management LTD. for final 10 years of his career. His hard work, commitment, and leadership helped make each business successful.
After retiring, he enjoyed a slower paced life, centered around golf, family, and Florida life. In his free time, Wayne enjoyed driving his Corvette along the Gulf Coast and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed traveling around the country visiting his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Monday, June 15, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Moss-Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida. A prayer service will be held at 5:15 p.m.
A Family and Friends gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida. Immediately following the Mass, Wayne will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Avenue North, Clearwater, Florida.
Wayne will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered as a generous man who was always willing to help others. His kindness, hard work, and easy going nature touched many lives.
