There are just so many. One of my favorites though is. Everyone that knew Bill, knew that he did flooring, mainly carpet, since in his teens. We both had a long work week, and the kids were with their grandparents. I wanted to surprise Bill so I rented a hotel room, I had a friend that worked at a florist, and was having a plant delivered with a racing magazine on one side, and a pint of Jack Daniel's on the other side. Had made fried chicken, potato salad, packed a cooler. I laid his robe out on the bed. Went and picked him up in Waldorf after he got off work. Told him I had a surprise, and was blindfolding him. We rode around for probably a good half hour. I pulled up to the hotel, and he goes, but we are still in Waldorf. I was like, what? How do you know? He says, I know this entire area like the back of my hand, I was counting left, and right turns, and how many times we crossed a train track. 🤣 I could of saved $10 in gas.
