William C. Herdman's Obituary
William Curry Herdman, 78, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014. ??Bill was born May 7, 1935 in Ringoes, NJ to Claude and Ida (Fredenburgh) Herdman. He graduated from Blair Academy in 1953 and received a Bachelor's degree from The College of William and Mary, later earning a Master's at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree at Temple University. He was in ROTC in college before becoming a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army. He was a CPA and worked for many years for Albert M. Greenfield in Philadelphia.?Bill lived in Philadelphia until moving to Dunedin. He was an Extraordinary Minister of Communion at Our Lady of Lourdes and an active volunteer at Mease Continuing Care. He enjoyed gardening, volunteering and serving the Church and was a long time blood donor.? ?Bill was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Herdman. He is survived by two nieces and four nephews, and a sister-in-law and several cousins. ?In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill's memory to Mease Continuing Care. The family also encourages blood donations at the American Red Cross.A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 15 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church-Dunedin, Florida with Father Gary Dowsey officiating under the care and direction of the Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin, Florida. Interment will be at Prospect Hills Cemetery in Flemington NJ under the care and direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.Friends and family may sign the guest book at www.mossfeasterdunedin.com
