Jarae, William John
93, of Flint, Michigan, passed Friday, August, 24th surrounded by loving Family. William and his Wife Rosalie of 72 years of marriage, moved to Clearwater, FL in December, 2017 to be closer to their Sons. Born in Flint, Michigan July 1st, 1925 and part of the "Greatest Generation", William served in the United States Navy as a Pharmacist Mate (medic) from 1942-1945 on the USS Warren. William, while taking part in several beach invasions in the Pacific, received two Meritorius Achievement Citations for bravery caring for the wounded while under enemy fire. After the war, William returned to Flint and soon married Rosalie Robison. William worked at General Motors-Buick in skilled trades/refrigeration repair and retired after 33 years. After retirement, William enjoyed trips to visit his Sons and their Families with Rosalie and spending winters in Florida. He was also an avid golfer and bowled in local Flint leagues for many years.
William leaves behind a loving Wife and Family: Sons, Bill (Janet); Larry (Debbie), Steve (Betty); six Grandchildren and five Great-grandchildren.
