William Kenneth "Ken" Lynch's Obituary
William Kenneth “Ken” Lynch
William Kenneth “Ken” Lynch passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a lifetime of devotion to his family and a legacy of quiet strength, generosity, and deep commitment to everything he did.
Ken was a loving husband and a devoted father to his three sons, a role he cherished immensely. By extension, he embraced their families with the same love and pride, always placing family at the center of his life.
A man of many talents, Ken’s analytical mind and strong work ethic guided him through a variety of careers. His professional path reflected both creativity and precision, ranging from building saunas and working in shipping and receiving to ultimately designing feed screws for packaging systems. Whatever the task, Ken approached it with care, intelligence, and craftsmanship.
Ken loved playing cards with family and friends at every opportunity. He competed in competitive bridge tournaments during his college years. He also participated in a student produced drama production (FASS) behind the scenes in roles such as stage manager or lighting technician making many lifelong friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Ken loved fishing from the time he could hold a rod. One of his proudest moments was catching a salmon off the pier in Kincardine, Ontario. He also had a passion for woodworking and built many decks over the years, passing on these skills to his sons in their woodworking endeavors.
Sports played an important role in Ken’s life. He loved golf and rarely missed a Sunday morning round, often enjoying the course with his three sons. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast, particularly fond of curling, hockey, basketball and more recently, pickleball. Ken coached every sport his boys played and was a certified Level 1 curling coach in both Canada and Florida. A loyal fan, he enthusiastically supported the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ken also gave his time generously as a dedicated supporter of the Countryside High School Band Boosters and Thanks for the Mammories/Sons, Others and Brothers 3Day teams.
Ken will be remembered for his steady presence, his willingness to give of himself, and the love he poured into his family, work, and community.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 8th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Dunedin Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the National Brain Tumor Society (https:/braintumor.org) or The American Cancer Society.
