William J. Thompkins Sr.'s Obituary
William (“TEE”) James Thompkins Sr was born on February 20th, 1963, in Tampa, Florida, to his parents Jim and Rosebud, Thompkins. He was the seventh of eight children. He would move from Tampa to Pelham, Georgia, before eventually settling down with the love of his life, Amy Thompkins, in Palm Harbor, Florida. The two were married on February 18th, in Clearwater.
William was a highly spiritual and religious man, a member of St. Luke’s. He was strong, and known for the loving care that he gave his family and others around him. He could be found sometimes watching a Buc’s game, or listening to some old school R & B, in his downtime between spending time with his loved ones.
William passed away on July 4th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Rosebud Thompkins; and his brother, Alfred Sailor.
William is survived by his loving spouse, Amy Thompkins; son, William J. Thompkins Jr.; daughter, Nicole Isaac; sisters Annette Jones, Henrietta Alexander, Margaret Williams, Rose Taylor, and Fannie Stephens; his brother David Thompkins; four grandchildren, his uncle, Tom Wilkes Jr (Ruth), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
