William "Todd" Fornshell's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William "Todd" Fornshell on January 21st 2026, at 60 years old.
He was born on August 15, 1965, in Miamisburg, OH. He moved to Florida when he was 7 years old.
Todd was larger than life. When he walked into a room you were immediately drawn to him. He had a one-of-a-kind spirit that left a lasting impression. He was the guy you wanted to be around. The animated stories he told while excitedly rubbing his hands will be be missed more than words can say. If you know you know!
He enjoyed a long and successful career as a General Manager with Sam’s Club, where his greatest passion was his people. He took pride in mentoring his team and nurturing their careers. He was deeply committed to giving back to the community and served as an advisory board member for All Children’s Hospital Foundation, the LIFT Program, and the Pinellas Park Sheriff’s K-9 Foundation. He also received many awards for his commitment to community including the City of Pinellas Park’s Ambassador Award.
He raised three beautiful, incredible daughters who were his pride and joy. He was the most spirited supporter of their dreams and cheered the loudest for them throughout their lives. He searched for ways to encourage their love of the arts and nature through finding objects or brainstorming ideas. His love of animals and excitement for life was passed down to his daughters. He had a passion for finding the coolest animals like sea cucumbers, file fish, and skinks. He also made sure they knew facts about albatrosses, shrews, and bulls (an albatross has a wingspan of 12 feet).
He was most at peace in the water. Scuba diving, fishing, boating were some of his favorite hobbies. He was a legend for catching lobsters in the Keys— they called him the "Lobster God".....
Above all the love for his family and friends is his greatest legacy. He will be greatly missed.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents John and Phyllis. He is survived by his wife Kim; children Ashley Hill (Joseph), Courtney and Lauren Fornshell; grandson Silas Hill; brother Bryan (Nicole) and niece and nephews Brice (Erica), Brady (Robyn), Brock and Brooklyn Fornshell.
