William Richard Wallace's Obituary
WALLACE, William “Bill”
67, of Clearwater, departed December 5, 2017. A free-spirited, 50 year resident of Florida, he leaves behind volumes of fond memories with the many whose lives he touched with his loyal and kind nature. He was a detail-oriented C.P.A. who took great pride in the accounting practice he single-handedly built from the ground-up and even greater pride in developing client relationships into close friendships that extended far beyond conference room walls.
These special bonds were also shared with his wife of 46 years, Barbara, and son, Jason, 40. The small, but extremely close-knit family enjoyed golf, traveling, snow skiing, and a sometimes rewarding but often punishing allegiance to Buccaneers football. Bill’s loyalty was rewarded with the opportunity to see the team’s 2003 Super Bowl win first-hand in San Diego.
Neighbors will undoubtedly remember his friendliness and determination in performing the often extreme landscaping work and car detailing he insisted on handling on his own all the way to his day of passing.
True to his unassuming personality and in wanting family and friends to have final memories focusing on his life rather than his passing, he insisted his final arrangements not include a memorial service. Instead, he only wished to be cremated and have his ashes scattered at one of his most beloved places, Aspen mountain in Colorado. The most fitting tribute to his memory would be a donation to his favorite charities: Metropolitan Ministries, Humane Society of Pinellas, and Petsmart charities.
