Yolanda Victoria Sirna's Obituary
Yolanda “Lani” Sirna, loving wife and mother of four and dear friend to many passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday October 12, 2022 at the age of 96 at her home in Clearwater, Florida.
Lani was born to Rosina and Frank Principe in New York City and graduated from Mother Cabrini High School and Mount Saint Vincent College in Riverdale, New York. Shortly after beginning a position at Columbia University, she met her dear husband, Lawrence, a dental student. They married and raised a family of four in Douglaston, New York.
Through the years, Lani and her husband were avid tennis players and travelers. Lani was a devote Catholic, volunteering at her local church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and a Catholic education teacher. She also loved volunteering at a local hospital in Clearwater. Lani remained steadfast in all things in life and was a true woman of faith.
Lani was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence, and second husband, Leon, her beloved son, James Luke Sirna, her parents, her sister, Mary, and her brother, Reverend Francis Principe. She is survived by her brother, Eugene, her three daughters, Elizabeth, Alice and husband Louis, and Sara and husband Christopher, as well as their beautiful children and grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Kate.
A Requiem Mass will be held at Saint Michael the Archangel Church located at 2281 State Road 580, Clearwater on Saturday, October 15th at 1:00pm. There is a visitation on Friday, October 14th, from 3pm-5pm at Moss Feaster Dunedin followed by a Rosary in Remembrance.
