Alfred Mello Correiro's Obituary
CORREIRO, Alfred Mello, 87 of Largo passed away peacefully on October 26, 2015.  Alfred was born on January 18, 1928 in Fall River ,Massachusetts. He served in the in the United States Navy aboard the USS Randolph during WWII.  After military service he was a lieutenant for the Fall River Fire Department  for 30 years. Alfred and his wife Doris moved from Fall River to Largo in 2000.  He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Clearwater. He enjoyed gardening and was very handy when it came to fixing something.  Alfred was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan and was well known for his Portuguese wine and firehouse cooking.
He is predeceased by his son Thomas Michael(2006) and parents, Manuel  and Maria. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Doris.; Daughters, Kathleen Pierce, Maureen(James) Lowary, Estelle(Edward)LePage; Brother Raymond Carreira ; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
