I met Aline, 32 years ago this week when I married her youngest son, Michael. My own mother passed away 27 years ago. Aline (Mom) filled the space left by my mother. She loved me. She led by example. She showed me what it meant to be a devoted spouse, loving mother, and caring friend. She was a true Southern Woman, full of beauty and grace. She lived fully, laughed warmly, hugged ardently, and loved zealously. Thank you mom for raising such a great son and for sharing a part of your life with our children and me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Stem family. Mrs. Aline left this world surrounded by her loving family, and was greeted in heaven by her other loves.
