Carolyn Anne Grimes' Obituary
Carolyn Anne Grimes, "Mickey" to all her friends and family, went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2020.
Mickey was born in Johnstown PA on July 1, 1939, to the late Roger B. McFadden and Kathleen "Little Mommy" McFadden. She was preceded in death by William Grimes and Patrick DiDomenico, with whom she will be interred and her son Terry Stockdale.
Mickey moved a lot as an "army brat" as well as when she became a wife and mother. She was an avid reader who favored Nelson DeMille as well as biographies and religious readings. She was a fierce competitor in Words with Friends and communicated a lot in chats. She listened to her favorite radio talk shows every night on her little transistor radio (even when she had children or grandchildren spending the night). She enjoyed playing her favorite music on Alexa, when they were getting along. Deadliest Catch, Alone and the Voice were some favorite shows along with anything about Nature and Wildlife. Mickey was full of life and able to find humor in everything. Her trademark laugh was infectious and will be missed by all. Mickey was an active member of the Light of Christ Catholic Church and maintained the Volunteer Calendar for the Resource Center.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Berg of Lonesdale MN, Tegwyn Stockdale of Clearwater, FL; a son, Travis Stockdale of Minneapolis MN; grandchildren, Kailey, Brittney, Keigan and Terran. Also surviving is her sister Carol "Shorty" Harris and Husband, Don of Wilmington.
