Clifford E. Snedeker Jr's Obituary
Clifford E. Snedeker, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, and dedicated Rotarian, passed away March 24, 2026 leaving behind a legacy defined by service, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania on June 7, 1939, Cliff was the son of Clifford E. and Margaret Snedeker, Sr. He attended Clearwater High School and then Florida State University, graduating in 1962 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing — the foundation for a long and successful career in the building materials industry. In 1963, Cliff married the love of his life Deanna L. Weimer. Together they raised two sons, Clifford III and Clinton, and built a life filled with purpose, partnership, and joy. Their 59 years of marriage were marked by shared adventures on the Florida waters, cherished time at Carlouel Yacht Club, mountain escapes to Sugar Mountain, and countless swim meets cheering on their boys. Deanna preceded him in death on January 2, 2022. Cliff began his professional journey as a sales representative for Armstrong World Industries, working first in Toledo, Ohio and later in Clearwater, Florida. After a decade with Armstrong, he followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Snedeker Sales, a residential millwork sales agency he continued to lead throughout his life. In the late 1980s, he expanded his business endeavors by purchasing a door manufacturing company in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. A true adventurer at heart, Cliff earned his pilot’s license and spent more than 20 years flying Beechcraft airplanes across his sales territory — a blend of work and passion that suited him perfectly. Cliff’s commitment to service was most profoundly expressed through Rotary. An active Rotarian since January 2, 1966 with 50 years perfect attendance, he served in numerous leadership roles, including President of the Rotary Club of Clearwater (2003–2004) and District Governor (2009–2010). He also earned many awards including District Rotarian of the year (2010-2011). Cliff didn’t simply uphold the ideals of Rotary — he embodied them, living each day with integrity, generosity, and a deep belief in “Service Above Self.” After Deanna’s passing, Cliff found companionship again and married Sally Irving on November 8, 2025 in a beautiful ceremony on Carlouel Beach. Sally brought renewed joy into his life, and the two shared a loving partnership in his later years. Cliff is survived by his wife Sally; his sons, Clifford III (Tammy) and Clinton (Kim); seven grandchildren; and ten great‑grandchildren. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the community he served, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, leadership, and steady presence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Rotary District Foundation: “Rotary 6950 District Charitable Foundation”, PO Box 1104, New Port Richey, FL 34656 A celebration of life is planned for April 24, 2026 @ 11 a.m. Church of the Ascension: 701 Orange Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33756
