First, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Frankie Olandesi BSN, RN. I was so fortunate to have crossed paths with Deb in Moffit Cancer Center as her RN. My job was to be there for Deb as her nurse but she in turn lit up my world. We literally danced, started a line, & went around the entire unit. Even throughout her treatments, she still kept this beautiful smile on her face. Her personality & sense of humor lit up whomever she came in contact with. We ended up becoming good friends and always texted each other. Deb would update me on her progress and I was always amazed by her strength. Deb didn't just have strength, she had a beautiful, positive attitude, character, & personality. I truly love Deb & will always feel blessed that I was able to get to know her for the past 2 years. Deb made such an impression that I will always hold her dear to my heart. Thank you Tim & Susan for continuing this bond by contacting me. Your sister was unique and as a Nurse, I became successful in being able to know her. "You are my Sunshine".
Our dearest Debi. We miss you immensely. All the fun times we had together and the memories we made we hold very close to our hearts. You always made everything fun! Whether it or was every day errands, Dr visits, boating, shopping, Haloween, and birthday parties, especially your birthday parties. There are no words to describe the empty place in our hearts that you left. You happen to be the most thoughtful and toughest person we know. You fought your cancer like a true warrior, And still managed to be there for others who needed you. Our world will be alot less colorful without you in it. I’ve known Debi for nearly forty years. She could make you laugh or bust your ass if you needed it. A big, big heart in a small package. Even with all her health problems, she celebrated her 60th birthday with a big bash at Nauti Nancy’s last year . I will always remember dancing with her that night...just saying
I'll repeat the "one of a kind" remarks I see all down through these comments. I've had the blessing of knowing Debi for almost 4 years and she has made me laugh and inspired me with that incredible sense of humor and personality. 4 years was not enough. Prayers to family and friends. Debi was unforgettable.
