Debra "Debi" J. Cross' Obituary
Debra "Debi" J. Cross, 61, of Clearwater, FL passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Morton Plant Hospital.  Debra was born and raised in Richmond, IN, she graduated from Richmond Senior High School, class of 1975.  During high school she especially loved playing the clarinet in the RHS concert, varsity, Pep and marching bands. While marching with the Red Devils they won first place in the in the Indiana State Fair competition in 1973 and in 1974 the Red Devil Band marched and performed in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA on New Years Day.  The RHS band was very important time in her life and she continued to hold those friends and memories close to her heart. Debi could often be found hanging out after high school at Bobbi's Beauty Nook; her mother's beauty parlor in downtown Richmond.
After high school, Debi attended Indiana University East, where she graduated with a Associates degree in Business in 1979 and was involved with different organizations at the university.
After graduation, she made the big move to Florida were she eventually settled in Clearwater.  She was very well known for bringing her true Irish, one of kind personality to O'Keefe's Tavern for many years.
Through out her life Debi never met a stranger.  She would always go out of her way to help anyone in need. She would say "strangers were just friends she had not met yet."
Debra is survived by her brother, Terry Cross and his wife Susan, their son Sean and daughter Shannon; her Aunt Joyce Cook, as well as other family members and many, many life long friends.
Debi was always about making everyone smile and having a blast doing that!  She will be greatly missed by so many of us...and as she always said "Just sayin!!"
