Dom was one of the first people I met when we moved to Florida in 1982. He and Anne were so nice to our family and made us feel welcome. Dom was always at the center of the fun. Sharing a birthday with him meant a very yummy cake each year. Dom even taught me how to grill salmon at his daughter's wedding. To this day, that is how I make my fish. We won't talk about the incident with the Peach Schnapps.
I will always remember Dom was someone who knew how to have a good time and enjoy everything in life. I am grateful to have been a small part of his life.

I still remember the visit to Springfield when Terri got married. One afternoon we sat in the basement on Leffel Lane and listened to the new Chicago album -- we all heard "Saturday in the Park" for the first time, and I remarked how that would be the next Top 40 hit for Chicago (it was!). Dom asked if he and Ann could borrow my Gremlin to get away for some 'private' time. And I also recall the night Toni & Ron and Ann & Dom and I went to the Showboat Drive-In to see "Night of the Living Dead," and we were all so shaken up that we ended up all sleeping on couches and the floor in Mom and Dad's living room with all the lights on!

Dom had personality in spades. Funny & enjoyable to be around and very kind. Always a good time being in his company. He loved his family and he loved life. All things considered, that's a pretty great legacy. Now he is with the Lord for certain. God bless his soul.

While not having seen Cousin, Dom, in many many years he will always be part of my childhood memories. Sadly my sons have not lived near the Palumbo extended family. One thing I did know was how much he loved Ann! Dom did have that wicked Palumbo sense of humor! I’m sure all of you have wonderful memories to sustain you through this difficult time. Dominic used to have us in stitches, when he talked about his school days…he definitely gave those teachers a run for their money! And, Dom used to love to bust my chops, too…I’ll always remember his witty expressions. He was always the rock of his family, and Ann was always right there by his side…that is true abiding love.
