Dora S. Koch's Obituary
Dora Sylvia Koch, 89 of Clearwater, FL died on May 5, 2021.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina (Tony) Nellis of Clearwater and one granddaughter, Tori of Jacksonville. Many nieces and nephews and several godchildren.
She was born on a farm in Michigan to John & Carolina Dorsch and had one brother Howard, all have predeceased her. After marrying Paul in 1950 she worked for local car dealerships as a bookkeeper. In 1953 they started coming to Florida and their stays became longer each time until they moved in 1957. She worked with bookkeeping at a Real Estate office for several years. They enjoyed some traveling as they would go back to Michigan each summer to visit family with some side trips along the way. After Paul retired, they made a lot of craft items, enjoyed going to garage & estate sales and shopping at Thrift stores. They also enjoyed playing cards (Pinochle) with friends.
After being married for 70 years, Paul predeceased her in January 2021. During her most recent health issues she had 4 wonderful caregivers, Millie, Shirletta, Christine & Khadija that Tina was most thankful for.
Visitation: 1 -3 pm Saturday 5/8/2021 with a short service at Moss Feaster Clearwater, then a graveside interment to follow at City of Largo Cemetery.
Memorials can be sent to Suncoast Hospice or the First Lutheran Church (Clearwater) organ fund.
