I'll speak for everyone who ever played CYO Baseball for Our Lady of Victory School in the Palisades area of Washington DC. Plain and simple, Eddie was "The Man". I played on his Midget B and A teams for OLV with his younger brother Jimmy. We were undefeated for 2 straight years under him and Coach Billy Johnson. I was deeply saddened to hear that he had passed and I will always have the most profound love and respect for Eddie. Rest in Peace Coach!

I knew Eddie only from a distance when I was a kid on Carolina Place, as he was several years older than I, but when I was a young adult, I played touch football with him a few times at Palisades and it stuck in my memory - he was very up, very positive, made it more fun by his just being there. He touched a lot of people, made a difference. My heart goes out to his family.

Sorry indeed for your loss. I knew Eddie casually from the old neighborhood in Palisades. He was the same age as my younger brother, Steve. God holds our times in His hands and appoints our day to depart this life. We often question why some, like Eddie, leave all too soon; but, we must bow to His wisdom. Dear GOD,
Please Bless Eddie's Soul, and please receive him into Your Kingdom O Lord Amen.

I find it difficult to remember Eddie just as an individual. He was part of the MOST cohesive family unit that I have ever met in my 70 years on this earth.

Many memories of Eddie and Palisades playground,Highs dairy store-ice cream,the D.G.S. grocery store. Jeep across the street who made the best cheese burgers & fries. When Eddie came in with that smile of his, they all smiled back. Sorry for your loss. Bobby Tehaan

Eddie was a friend who touched the lives of so many people. When I needed help, he was there and so was Sandy. I will miss the baseball trivia we challenged each other with so many times over the past few years. I truly enjoyed his company, and know he has a place in heaven. God blessed us with his loving soul. We all will be blessed when our time comes and we'll be reunited with him and all our other loved ones who have previously departed us. .God Bless you Eddie.
