Erik "Salty" King's Obituary
Erik Jason King passed away suddenly due to a pulmonary embolism on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 55. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Marie (Spicocchi) King. Born in Warren, Ohio, and raised in Massillon, Ohio. Erik was the cherished son of John Edmund King and Sandra Lee (Sisler). Father-in-law Samuel Robert Spicocchi and Karen (Cecil). Erik is survived by his two children, Alex Jason King and Cory John King girlfriend Niki Malecki, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his loving brother Gregory King and two wonderful sisters, Lisa (King), husband Ryan Simmons, and Marlo (King) husband Jeff Chovan. Erik's extended family includes his brother and sister-in-laws: Tony Spicocchi wife Darlina (Rodgers), Vince Spicocchi wife Amie (Lambright), Annie (Spicocchi) husband Miller Hudson. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by all his close friends, co-workers, fellow coaches, former players, and his best friend, Bob (Bango) Lillo.
Visiting hours to honor Erik’s life will be held on Saturday August 24th, 2024, from 11am to 2pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, located at 1320 Main Street, Dunedin, Florida. A celebration of life will be held in both Florida and Ohio at a later date, to be announced.
Erik's warmth, love, and laughter will be remembered by all who knew him.
