Evelyn C. Koerner's Obituary
Evelyn Koerner died March 16, 2016 at the Palm Harbor Hospice Center after a
brief illness. She was 103.
She was an original tenant of Mease Manor in Dunedin, Florida. She knew Dr.
Mease for whom the facility and hospital are named.
Mrs. Koerner was born and raised in New Jersey. She lived in Shark River
Hills, Elizabeth and Rahway, NJ.
Mrs. Koerner was a nurse for many years, ultimately becoming the company
nurse for an industrial plant in New Jersey.
She was twice married and had one son, John Atchley, who pre-deceased her at
the age of 20 in a Scuba Diving accident.
She is survived by her great-niece, Victoria Lynn Schetelich, to whom she
was closely attached. Mrs. Schetelich's family are Ronald Reason, nephew of
Mrs. Koerner, Lorraine Reason of Toms River, NJ, Dennis Reason of Melbourne,
FL and Ronnie Reason of Westfield, NJ.
