Gary was a great father to Kathy and husband to Anne. He also was a true friend of ours. He had a great sense of humor and every time we got together it was a multitude of laughs. From the great annual clam bakes we had to just getting together was always a great time. We remember sitting at Pete and Shorty’s with Gary and Anne toasting my brother Tommy who was so close to Gary and spent many great times with him The wine festival in Safety Harbor, Third Fridays, sitting in his yard in Saybrook, looking at the ocean We will always remember . Gary loved seeing our dog Jazzy and always treated all of us so special.
He even sold me their car as they were looking for a new one. I asked if i could buy and he said “Step in to my office”
I will miss his morning texts about politics as it was a great wake up call and a good laugh every morning . As i wipe the tears from
my eyes I know he is in a better place with his best friend Tom Knight, my brother, and they are watching down and protecting all of us!

I will always remember our annual clam bakes in Old Saybrook. Always a wonderful time (especially the homemade margueritas made to order by Gary). Even after we lost Tommy, the tradition carried on, and, although bittersweet, was still a very special day. I am grateful to have spent time with this wonderful family and will miss Gary’s stories and sense of humor. Praying for you Anne and Kathy to remain strong and cherish all the wonderful memories,

I had the greatest pleasure of meeting Anne and Gary when we both moved into our respective condos in 2007. I live upstairs from them. We became fast friends. I always went to Gary for advice on everything related to the condo. Whatever Gary did, I did the same. We both loved to decorate for Christmas. He bought me candle lights for all my windows so we would match.I loved the many evenings spent with Gary and Anne. We would chat about world events, eat a delicious meal that Anne prepared and play games. I absolutely adored Gary. He always looked out for me as if I was his own daughter. I am incredibly heartbroken. I will miss him dearly, I am so grateful for the time we spent together and the great memories made. ❤️

I’ll miss Gary’s gentle and quiet spirit! I loved his sweet smile! I’ll miss seeing him wash the car (Anne’s Chariot) before going to pick her up from school! My thoughts and prayers are with Anne and Kathleen!

Gary was a very devoted husband, father and a true friend. He had the most wonderful sense of humor and loved his Lindy! Our most deepest condolence to the family.

Spent days on end sitting together on a rock jetty at Cornfield Pt fishing for porgies. Later we water skied up and down Willard Bay during the halcyon days of our youth. He is truly missed. Rest now my good friend.
