Gordy was a close friend of mine when we was stationed at Fort Polk together, I think of him often after all these years, I tried to look him up over the years but never was able to get in contact with him, I am so sorry to hear about this he would always say I was his little buddy, RIP Gordy “Brian Jules Baker”
My favorite memory of Gordan is the summer we met at Bellaire Beach. My sister Kris, his brother Steve and I played cards at his grandfathers house. We sat at a folding card table laughing the night away!
Our families met during the summer of 1982 on Belleair Beach, when Gordon and his family made their yearly trip to Florida to visit his grandparents. We all instantly connected and have been friends ever since.
The Rees Family is amazing. The moment you meet them, they bring you in and hug you tight and make you feel like their lifelong friends. My sister Deb and I had a great visit with Gordon and Mamie early this summer. I am so glad I was able to see Gordon and catch up on all the great adventures in his life over the years.
