Barbara
I want to share a fun memory. My wedding was held at a Polish hall in Wyandotte and the food was made by women who only spoke Polish. Apparently, although the hall didn't inform me, the plates and silverware were only provided for the meal and not for the cutting of the wedding cake later on. Well, when Aunt Helen heard that we didn't have plates and silverware, she marched right into the hall kitchen and had a chat, in Polish, with those ladies and everything we needed immediately came flowing out to each of our guests! haha.
Also, every birthday we would say to each other, 'Sto Lat' which is a Polish greeting that people shout almost like a toast on birthdays that translates to '100 Years!'. You had a very fully (almost 100 years) making memories with all of your loved ones.
You passed 2 years to the day that your niece Joan, my mother passed. I know she was there to greet you.
I'll miss you.
Barbara,
