Helen Cashman's Obituary
Ms. Helen Cashman (née Bylinski), of Wyandotte, MI, and Clearwater, FL, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at the age of 94.
Helen was born to parents Joseph and Sophie Bylinski on November 12, 1923, in Wyandotte, MI. Helen was a beloved mother, grandmother (“Busia”), and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, enjoying fine food and wine, and thoroughly living life.
Helen had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Light of Christ Catholic Church, where she served on the Women’s council. One of the major highlights of her life was traveling to Rome and visiting the Roman Catholic Church and walking in the footsteps of the popes. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Helen is survived by her son, Michael (Gail) Cashman; grandson, Michael (Lorie) Cashman; grandson Ryan Cashman; granddaughter, Angel Cashman; and four great-grandchildren, Tawny, Jordan, Mickey, and Megan. She is preceded in death by her parents (Joseph and Sophie), two sisters (Irene and Lilian), and three brothers (Henry, Stanley, and Eddie).
A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Marilyn Street, Clearwater, FL 33765. Helen’s ashes will be interred with her family at the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery and a graveside service will be held there sometime in the summer.
