Dad, on the day I married your son, you said to me, I gained a daughter. That day I didn't just gain a father in law, I gained a 2nd dad. We had 40 plus years of fun and laughter. We did so much as a family, from cook outs, holidays, fishing, camping, concerts and cruises. Trips to the theme parks, sitting and watching the scenery. I can't name a favorite time cause they all were special. But my favorite memory is the day you accepted me into your family, you made me feel so welcome, thank you isn't enough cause you were truly a wonderful dad and grandpa. Will miss you, until we meet again. Rest easy dad, with all my love, your daughter.
One of my favorite memories was with grandpa and my dad. We were fishing near one of the bridges when my grandfather hooked a fish and was reeling it in. The fish was splashing at the top of the water, ( I think it was a trout) when a pelican dove down and ate it. From sea to sky now he was fighting the pelican on a fishing rod.
Going on a 3 week vacation cross country with my grandparents is something I'll never forget. He was not a fan of El Pisso Texas for sure.
I also still have a miniature Phillies baseball bat he bought me at a spring training game when I was about 6 years old. He was loved and will be missed until we meet again.
My dad loved being outdoors. Some of my favorite memories were when he and mom visited us on the mountain in Tennessee. Dad helped us move to Tennessee, loading, unloading, driving and making sure we were safe and sound on the mountain. He visited often and one year they were there during the start of the gardening season. He seemed so happy to help plant that year. Dad loved sitting on the porch watching deer and other animals. Or just relaxing and taking in the beautiful mountain, valleys and farmland off the back porch. I'm so glad we moved back to Florida because we spent a lot of time with dad in the past 8 months. I'll miss my dad so much.

My father-in-law, Jim, was a soft spoken, strong man. One of my first memories happened just after Greg and I started dating. We decided to take my car to his parents' house so we could wash it. When we got there, Jim was trying to get Gloria to go to the spring training game in Clearwater. Gloria wasn't in the mood, so she asked us to go with Jim. I have been a baseball fan all my life, so I was gung-ho. The game had already started so we had to park far from the stadium. Jim was so excited, and he was walking so fast I couldn't keep up with him, I was practically running to keep up. I remember watching his back as he walked (almost marching) in front of us and thinking "there is a determined, strong man". We had a wonderful time at the game. Since then, we've watched many ball games together, baseball and football; it made me think of my own dad. I'm going to miss Jim; I loved him dearly.
