Jean R Champ's Obituary
Champ, Jean Esther, age 79 of Pinellas Park, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 16th 2019 at Bayfront Health Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She was a graduate of Northeast High School in 1958. She was a life insurance under writer for Crown Life Insurance, Saint Petersburg, Florida and later Vice President of AIMS Systems in Roswell, Georgia. She relocated back to Florida in 2013 and retired. Jean was best known for her witty, and sometimes sick-twisted humor. Jean was fully fluent in sarcasm. No-one was a stranger, she was a friend to everyone and loved to make people laugh. She was a beloved Mom, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother. The family is honoring her memory by spending time at the beach, this was her happy place. Preceded in death by her parents Reginald and Hazel Martin Robertson. She is survived by her companion of 40 years, Jack Clyde Banning. Her son, William Robert “Bobby” Champ, Jr. of Saint Petersburg, Florida; daughter, Debbie Champ Finelli of Gilbert, Arizona; daughter, April Champ Pemberton (Michael) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, June Robertson King (Donald) of Fleming Island, Florida; Joan Robertson Wilson (Kevin) of Saint Petersburg, Florida; Marcia Robertson Boreland (Daniel) of New Port Richey, Florida; grandsons, Theodore Richard “Theo” Stekhuizen, Jr.; Joseph Robert “Joey” Finelli, II, Ethan Jack Pemberton; granddaughters, Nina Laren Finelli and Shelby Jean Rauch. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial will be held on her favorite holiday, July 4th at Redington Beach, Florida where Jean often spent vacations with her best friends; Barbara Melka, her sister Joan Wilson and her niece Leslie Kelly Edwards. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Jean’s favorite charity to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital,
