Jeff was our closest cousin growing up. He and Sandy were only 2 months apart, so of course, I was always the "third wheel". I looked up to Jeff, knowing how intelligent he was. I remember how he prided himself on memorizing an entire baseball stat book and could answer questions about any player. I remember countless games of Rummy 500, UNO, and all of the rules he made up along the way for Monopoly. Being the odd man out, I was subject to more than my share of Indian Rope Burns and noogies. One time he and my sister Sandy wanted to play by themselves, so they told me to hide and never came to find me! Lol! Even though I was the tortured youngest cousin, I still admired and loved my cousin. My favorite memory was when I visited Aunt Joan and Jeff for a week when I was 15. Jeff took me to listen to his band and to see Weird Science at the movies. There are so many memories. Unfortunately, we drifted apart later in life. I would have liked to have joined him kayaking, as that is a love of mine too. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ingrid, the kids and grands. 💞
