Joan, You might not remember me, but my folks were Larry and Bouqueen Reed, I am sure you remember them! I was sorry to hear of Joes passing - I don't think there is a day that goes by that I don't think of the Foy family in one way or another, or talk about them. We named our fourth child, a boy, Joe, after the Foy men - he is a constant reminder of a truly wonderful family. I am not sure what the arrangement was, but most every Sunday we seemed to end up at the Foy home after church, spend most of the day, just hanging out. Family time - just talking - not much football on television back then. Dad and Joe would be in one room, talking shop I am sure; mom and Jerry in another, usually the kitchen, cooking something to feed the troops. The kids wandering around playing, mostly Tom and Ginny (my sister) and me and Judy. Pete would be around somewhere and offer words of wisdom from time to time - and Joe would zip in and out as his schedule allowed. Please remember me to Pete and Judy...One of my favorite stories about Joe was one time, when he was in the food business with someone, he was in dad's Sparta store, setting us some display. Another vendor who heard Joe was there went over to him and gave him an earful about how much he did not like Joe Sr....Joe listened...and when the guy was done, he stole all the other guys thunder, when he replied...."Yeah, I don't like the s o b ( Joe Sr) very much either" It was great - the guy wilted and disappeared! remembering Joe, I am sure that your lives were never boring and always interesting. I will continue to think about the Foys as I regularly do, and your loss. From the Reeds to the Foys, on a family Sunday, we feel your pain. Our best. Bill Reed
