I am so sorry to see Joe’s passing. I lost touch him and have always regretted doing so. Joe was one of the sweetest, kindest humans anyone could meet. We volunteered for a local AIDS organization in the late 1990’s. We both suffered the loss of our friend Jerry and tried desperately to get some justice for his death. Health issues have kept me from the life I once knew. Joe was a wonderful part of that life. We had so much fun together. RIP Joe sorry I was not aware , but I have and will continue to think of you often.

Joe Lawlor was a true blessing to so many, including me and my family. It was a privilege and pleasure to know Joe for more than half my lifetime. We lived together in the early days in St. Pete Beach and worked together in three states over the years for 5700 Corp, Lane Hospitality and Decade Group. I watched Joe grow as a professional hotelier, earning his Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) certification.
He was a tough but fair boss, and he quietly helped many people in their time of need. I saw Joe mature into a loving and caring husband and 'pet Dad'. Joe had a deep and abiding love for his husband Kevin. He also watched and cared for a number of dogs for friends. Joe was thoughtful and considerate friend and had a strong faith. Joe was truly a good man and wonderful friend who will be missed by many.
