Joy was a truly beautiful person and this is why she had such close friends who really cared! Joy's memory will remain very much alive for those who knew and loved her! I wish I could hug her right now, but instead i send my Prayers and Condolences to your Family and know that Joy will be missed!
Joy was a sweet lady....so classy. She loved to dance and be with her friends....always a smile on her pretty face.
Everyone loved her and she she was always there for her friends.
She will be missed and always remembered .
We loved her.
Joy was more than a cherished friend, she was my soul-sister, muse, mentor, roommate for eight years and so much more. We met 37 years ago and I do not have a single memory, since that day, that she was not a part of. Everywhere I go in Clearwater, Joy and I were there, (at one time or another), making wonderful memories for me to hold on to. Places like Les Partners with all the gang every Friday night for years, and places that are no longer there like Stuabakers, New York, New York, T-Bones and Joy Land. Plus our favorite places like Clearwater Beach at Life Guard Station 5, Treasure Island Beach for every Holiday, Consignment Store's and Thrift Shop's from Treasure Island to Palm Harbor, special restaurants, etc. She was responsible for my first meeting with John, my boyfriend of 27 years, and also gave me a relationship with her wonderful family, that I will never give up......they will always be my adopted Family whom I love very much. For that legacy, I will be forever be grateful. Joy may have left this earth but she made sure that the ones she loved would never be alone. Her SPIRIT is everywhere and I know she will be keeping tabs on us....until we are all together again.
Joy, I will miss you everyday, but all I have to do is go to the beach and I know you will be there to take a walk with me and reminisce.....how about tomorrow?
Love you, Jan OXOXOXOXOXO
My condolences to Joy's family. May your wonderful memories give you comfort during this difficult time.

I met Joy on July 26, 1990. She was with her girlfriend Jan at New York, New York, the now demolished nightclub on US 19 in Clearwater.. Joy noticed me dancing and said she was going to ask me to dance. Well.... I spotted Jan who is now my girlfriend of 27 years. Joy was happy to take the role of my next best girlfriend. The three of us had many wonderful times. Once, Joy, Jan and I went to Busch gardens. I kept bugging Joy to go on the roller coaster with me. She did and IMMEDIATELY swore NEVER to go on a roller coaster again. Joy, I know that someday we'll be together once more.
All my love ( don't tell Jan )
